Driving Force are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor in Cork.

This is a full time position, working 40 hours per week (weekends included) salary 40,000.00 plus 12% shift allowance, 20 days annual leave, wellness and service days, pension 3% er contribution, EAP, staff discount, sick pay, online learning and development platform.

Working times:

5 over 7

8 pm to 4.30 am or 10 pm to 6.30 am

The overall purpose of the position is to coordinate the warehouse activities, organising and resourcing the operatives in order to ensure all orders are completed within target time frames of receipt and according to Good Distribution Practice and Standard Operating Procedures.

The Role:

Responsible for the man management of team members and other direct reports

Assist your Supervisor and Manager to manage under performance and absenteeism

Ensure all orders are picked and packed in a timely manner and meet truck departure schedules

Ensure rotation of stock on a first in first out basis/ shortest dated stock supplied first

Make sure that stock accuracy is maintained throughout the warehouse

Assist in the preparation and the carrying out of stock takes and cycle counts when required

Ensure damaged products are dealt with appropriately

Report to the Warehouse Supervisor any excessive product damage and/or any safety issues.

Be proactive in the management and implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures in the warehouse

Ensure highest standards of housekeeping are in place (cleanliness of area, storage of goods and handling procedures)

Conduct a handover with all relevant areas in the opposing shift

Education/Training requirements

Minimum experience of at least one year in a similar role

Own transport is a great advantage

Ability to lead and work as part of a team

Ability to take initiative and work well under pressure in a team environment

Excellent interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative and work towards deadlines

Ability to work flexible hours as the job demands

Attention to detail and good follow through with a high level of accuracy

Awareness of Health & safety and GDP requirements.

Previous experience of leading a team advantageous
